Springfield Champions

Volunteers Needed for Cancer Study

Are you passionate about helping to discover better ways to  prevent, treat and hopefully cure cancer?

The American Cancer Society’s Springfield office  is currently recruiting volunteers who are willing to serve as a Cancer Prevention Study-3 (CPS-3) Community Champions for our Springfield/Taylorville enrollment.

Please join us at Simmons Cancer Institute for an informational kick-off event on Tuesday, March 26, at 6pm.  At this event, you will be presented with all the information you need to help educate the community about CPS-3. Whether you are a Survivor, Caregiver to a cancer patient, or are interested in honoring a friend or loved one who has battled cancer, you are invited to serve as a CPS-3 Champion. As a volunteer champion, you will be making a difference by supporting this once-in-a-generation, historic research study.

To RSVP or for more information on Springfield/Taylorville Community Champions, contact Stephen Hunt, 217-523-4739, or by email at stephen.hunt@cancer.org
